By learning and living in a naturally beautiful and rural setting, King George School students participate in a wide range of social and recreational activities including: hiking, soccer, yoga, rock and ice climbing, skiing, mountain biking, and horseback riding. Physical exercise is integrated into the Student Life program to promote a healthy lifestyle.
In addition to physical activities, students share time with each other in the Student Center participating in table and board games, movies, and group activities.
Off-campus activities are provided throughout the year. Cultural excursions to museums, theaters, arts festivals, and local colleges and universities provide enrichment opportunities. The King George School is close to Catamount Arts, Lyndon State College, the Fairbanks Museum and Planetarium, the University of Vermont, and Dartmouth College. We also strive to take advantage of the natural environment by skiing at Burke Mountain and hiking and climbing in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. |
